10/09/2023 In Russia, Moscow, Alexander Smirnov and his colleagues at the Komsomolskaya Pravda editorial office discussed the development of mass sports in Russia: how to attract new fans.
The event was organized by the Communist Party on the eve of the “Athletic Day”, which is celebrated on August 12 this year.
We had a productive discussion with colleagues: -How many people regularly go in for sports in Russia?
-What steps need to be taken to make playing sports easier and more enjoyable?
-How can the sports infrastructure created for professionals be used for ordinary people?
-How to infect middle-aged and older people with the idea of sports?
After the round table, in an informal conversation, new projects were developed to popularize the Russian Backgammon Federation, now during breaks and/or while waiting for awards, our special athletes will be able to spend time playing backgammon, it is also possible that we will soon hold amateur backgammon competitions during breaks , this way athletes will pass the time and receive additional brainstorming and nice prizes.
Speakers who took part in the round table:
-Dmitry Fridman, Executive Vice President of the BRICS International Sports Committee;
-Vadim Zhurba, executive director of the All-Russian physical culture and sports public organization “Backgammon and Backgammon Federation”;
