Jade Kingdom, 35, who has Down syndrome, is the first to complete a sprint triathlon in London.

Jade Kingdom, 35, from Barnstaple, Massachusetts, who has Down syndrome, became the first to complete a sprint triathlon in London, becoming another Guinness World Records heroine.

This famous book now includes the results with which the girl completed the triathlon, which took place on August 7 and took the special athlete two hours, 39 minutes and 55 seconds:
-750 meters she swam;
-20 km rode a bicycle;

  • ran 5 km.

She dedicated her act to charity and raised £20,000 for a hospice in North Devon.

Jade became the “poster girl” who proved to people with developmental disabilities that little is impossible for them, and anyone who has a real desire and works hard on themselves can get into the book of records.

Jade’s mother, Judy Kingdom, said she was extremely proud of her daughter. “I never in my wildest dreams thought that she would be able to do this. But she works really hard, she trains constantly.”

Having successfully completed one, the girl is now preparing for her next challenge: a 10 km swim along the Serpentine River in London’s Hyde Park.

Let’s wish her good luck and new records!

On May 19, the International Inclusive Committee will hold the largest International event, the adaptive “Running”. Which will take place in 35 regions of Russia, China, Belarus and Brazil, the planned number of participants is more than 10,000 people.
This will be a grandiose, enchanting and useful event for people with disabilities and/or disabled people from 6 years old; participants will be able to run, if desired, one of three distances, 1, 5 and 10 km, receive the coveted medals and a form of participation in the adaptive “Run”.
The event is supported by the League of Heroes company (Russia)

The International Inclusive Committee supported inclusive projects and adaptive sports in Russia.

The “International Inclusive Committee” supported inclusive projects and adaptive sports in Russia for 2023 for a total amount of more than 18,000,000 rubles. Financial support was provided to municipal, city and non-profit organizations.
Organizations received funding to pay employees, hold events, and purchase equipment. Also, the “International Inclusive Committee” provided regional organizations of Russia with equipment and supplies for conducting training sessions for special athletes.

The “International Inclusive Committee” continues to provide necessary and important support to organizations, regardless of the form of registration, who leads adaptive or inclusive sports.

As the president of the “International Inclusive Committee” Alexander Smirnov said, sport should be accessible to everyone, despite any physical disabilities of a person or any other reasons, if a person wants to play sports, then we must support and help him.

Not everyone can obtain the necessary equipment or inventory, and we are happy to help such organizations.

The “International Inclusive Committee” will conduct seminars and webinars with the world’s best experts in the field of adaptive sports, to train and improve the skills of coaches and methodologies from all over the world.

The event is designed to allow young people to experience a wide range of Para sports delivered by some of the best clubs and coaches available in Tayside. Activities have been selected where strong club links are already established, so that children can continue to participate and develop locally.

It is especially exciting to offer this opportunity during the Paralympic year as we look forward to the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games taking place between 28 August to 8 September, where thousands of athletes from over 100 countries will compete and inspire the next generation of young people with a disability.

In 2019, Scottish Disability Sport celebrated 10 years of Parasport Festivals. Please check out this promotional video. We hope this will help to highlight the aims and impact of the Parasport Festival.

Our event is supported by sport coaching and development students from Dundee & Angus College who always do a fantastic job encouraging and supporting the participants throughout the day to ensure everyone feels at ease and participates to the best of their ability.

“It’s always great to see so many pupils with smiles on their faces all day long learning new skills, increasing confidence and making new friends. For many, their sporting journey starts now and I look forward to following up with everyone to support them into weekly participation for the sports they enjoyed”, said Graeme Doig, SDS Tayside Regional development Manager (RDM).
