ADAPTIVE SHOOTING
Shooting has become a part of many competitions and is currently practiced in more than 75 countries. Air Rifle and Pistol Shooting is a test of skill and mental discipline in which competitors fire air rifles and pistols in a series of shots at a paper target.
Athletes with the following physical disabilities are allowed to compete at the “International Inclusive Games”:
MKB-10
At the international level, athletes compete in rifle and pistol events at distances of 10, 30 and 50 meters in men’s, women’s and mixed events.
Shooting uses a functional classification system that allows athletes with different impairment classes to compete together individually or in teams.
Adaptive rules take into account the differences that exist between competitive shooting for able-bodied athletes and competitive shooting for athletes with physical disabilities.
