With the aim of extending sport to people with disabilities, the Regional Government organizes in collaboration with the Madrid Sports Federations the “All Community Championships”

This sports promotion initiative is based on the development of inclusive and adapted federated competitions in collaboration with the Madrid single-sport and disability sports federations, with the aim of generating and consolidating reference competitive events, as well as normalizing joint training dynamics between athletes with disabilities. and without disabilities.

The competitions will take place on September 23, 24 and 25 at various sports facilities in the Community of Madrid, specifically at the Dehesa de Navalcarbón Sports Center (Las Rozas), at the 86 World Swimming Center (Madrid) and at the Canal de Isabel II sports facilities (Madrid).

It is estimated that around 700 Madrid athletes will participate, including participants with and without disabilities, who will compete in some of the 20 sports modalities contemplated.

These athletes are integrated into ONCE and the 14 participating Madrid sports federations:

  • Madrid Chess Federation
  • Madrid Basketball Federation
  • Madrid Athletics Federation
  • Madrid Federation of athletes with physical disabilities
  • Madrid Federation of athletes with cerebral palsy
  • Madrid Cycling Federation
  • Madrid Judo Federation
  • Madrid Karate Federation
  • Madrid Federation of athletes with intellectual disabilities
  • Madrid Padel Federation
  • Madrid Canoeing Federation
  • Madrid Swimming Federation
  • Madrid Table Tennis Federation
  • Madrid Triathlon Federation
  • ONCE – National Organization of the Spanish Blind

The Madrid Sports Federations have designed an event made up of 20 sports competitions, both individual and collective, in which adapted sports modalities will be combined with other inclusive formats.

Within the “All Community” Championships, the inclusive competition is governed by federative regulations, when said competition already exists on a regular basis in its competitive dynamics, and by specific regulations when it comes to competitions organized ad hoc for this initiative .
